Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary

Everest Base Camp Trek, the dream of standing on the base of the highest mountain in the world.

At an elevation of 5164 m from sea level, it had different approaching routes. There are multiple itinerary for this adventure. Itinerary varies on the number of days, difficulty grade and start point for the trek. From Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek, additional Gaurishankar Conservation Area Project permit is needed.     We plan route Jiry-Surke-Chheplung-Gokyo-Dingboche-Lukla.
    Could you advise, which permit we need and where we can get them?

    1. If you go from Jiri then you need Gaurishankar Conservation Area Project (GCAP) Entry Permit. Additional you will need Local Entry Permit for Khumbu and Sagarmatha National Park (SNP) Entry Permit.

      GCAP you should obtain in Nepal Tourism Board – Kathmandu and rest two can be obtained in Phakding and Monjo.

    1. Yes, you can easily do Everest Base Camp Trek in 12 days, all you need to change the itinerary is as below:

      Pheriche to Namche
      Namche to Lukla
      Lukla to Kathmandu

      August is still monsoon, make sure you have buffer days at the end in Kathmandu. I recommend at least two days. Have a nice trek
